ABOUT ME
EMILY MOTA
NEW YORK BREED ARTIST

Emily Mota is a Dominican filmmaker from the South Bronx. She has been working on her passions in film and photography since she was a freshman in high school.

Her passion led her to the School of Cinematic Arts at the University of Southern California where she majored in Cinema and Media Studies. Mota graduated with her Bachelor's degree at USC in May 2020, becoming one of the first in her family to graduate from college.

A self-starter and ambitious woman, Mota started her post-grad career as a freelance production assistant and media assistant. She worked with corporate and non-profit companies from Viacom to First Workings to Firelight Media. She learned a lot as a freelancer in her early professional life, but once she landed her next opportunity, it opened the doors to much more.

She worked as a Production Coordinator from 2022 to 2024 at Paramount Brand Studios where she worked with brands like MTV, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, CMT, and CBS Sports. Learning from some of the best in the industry, Mota’s skills accelerated, allowing her to work on exciting projects and campaigns.

Some of her favorite projects include Puma’s Neo Renaissance, Popeyes x Comedy Central, and Content for Change: Mental Health campaigns.

Mota continues to build on her work in the media industry. And hopes to create opportunities of change through her passions.
